What are the greatest successes of Team Glaive?

When thinking of success, you would normally think of victories and podiums and sports success. But with Glaive we believe that our biggest successes are not perse our victories in the NL crit series or the different podiums we earned last season but rather the fact that we manage to put a smile on everyone’s face in the team when going to the races. Taking pleasure while racing and being able to perform in the best conditions are for us the biggest successes of our team. Besides that, we were also one of the most successful fixed-gear criterium teams last year in Belgium with 2 victories in the NL crit series and numerous podiums in other races.

How are we training as a criterium team? Any specific advice?

Training for criterium is pretty much the same as for road racing but during the season we need to put the attention on more intensive training to survive the numerous attacks and the raises after every corner during the race. Also, the technical aspect is one of the most important parts of our training during the season. For that, we normally gather with the team and invite other fixed gear riders every Sunday at our home spot in Brussels to train our cornering skills to be ready on race day. If we could give any advice, it would be to really be at ease with cornering to spare some energy during the race and this is worth for fixed gear and road criterium.
