BBB's new kid on the block
For 2016 we continue all our partnerships of the previous year, but we do also have a very special new member who joins the club of BBB: Team Dimension Data.
With the beginning of the new cycling season the pro peloton welcomes a completely new World Tour team on the stage. Last year MTN-Qhubeka saw the light and they did an impressive job winning a stage during the Tour de France. This year the team received a new main sponsor in Dimension Data and a license for the World Tour was being rewarded. With big names as Mark Cavendish, Bernhard Eisel, Mark Renshaw and Tyler Farrar this new kid on the block has the perfect high speed sprinting train inside the peloton. And with other types of riders such as Edvald Boasson Hagen and Igor Anton also the classics and mountainous races are being covered. It could well be a very successful first World Tour season for Dimension Data for Qhubeka and therefore we are very proud to partner up with this exciting new team.
The coming season the mechanics of Dimension Data can trust on our tools, toolboxes, workstands and pumps to perfectly build and adjust the racing machines of Cervélo for the riders. And the riders can rely on our minitools, pumps, fenders, protection and saddlebags while out on training.
Together with our continuous partnership with FDJ we have two top level teams to cooperate with, to develop even more high-end products than last year. A perfect example of this cooperation and partnership is the development of the Tithon sprint helmet. Together with our pro riders we created one of the fastest and best ventilated aerodynamic helmets on the market and this year we are planning to produce and develop even more of these incredible exciting products for racing. With the help of our two World Tour teams and two Pro Continental teams, Team Roompot Oranje Peloton and Wanty-Groupe Gobert, we are sure to achieve those goals.
Of course we have two great partners on the other side of the cycling spectrum as well. With a very important season coming up, the prolonged partnership with the CST Superior Brentjens MTB Racing Team could be one with impressive results. With a new main sponsor the riders of Dutch mountainbike legend Bart Brentjens will do their utmost to perform the best they can in Rio, Brazil, at the 2016 Olympics. And also in the ever increasing popular enduro mountainbike scene BBB is represented by the Radon Magura Factory Team of Joost Wichman. Last year they won the Specialized SRAM Enduro Series with the young hyper talented Raphaela Richter. She hopes to continue the impressive 2015 season. With the help of our glasses and helmets we make sure she and her fellow riders stay safe during the steep enduro tracks over the world. And with the help of our rain jackets they stay dry as well while going full throttle downhill.
Our relationship with the Paralympic handbikers will be a special one in 2016. These guys are also on their way to Rio and are using our helmets and glasses while riding their exhausting races. Handbikers are always in pursuit of the best, high-end material and we are more than happy and proud to help them achieve their goals on their road to the Rio Paralympics. Last but certainly not least the speed skaters of Team Stressless are training during the summer of 2016 with the help of our helmets and glasses. Last year they did it likewise and the results in winter were magnificent with a world record on the 1000m of Brittany Bowe.
We are looking forward to an incredible Olympic year with our partners and we hope all our fans and partners will enjoy the athletes and riders who are using our products. From the handbikers in Rio to the riders of the Baku Cycling Project in the Tour of Azerbeijan and from the steep slopes of the enduro tracks in New Zealand to the brutal cobbles of Vlaanderen and Roubaix, our products will once again be tested under the most demanding conditions. No better way to discover new possibilities for product development. Together we build better products. We wish all our partners a successful new season and all our fans and followers all the fun following our teams during 2016!
