Handlebars give you manoeuvrability, comfort and grip on your bike. Do you want to reach maximum speeds on your bike? Then choose an aerobar. Are you going for comfort? Then look at a butterfly handlebar. If you are more of a mountain biker or road cyclist, the shape of your handlebars is fairly fixed. But again you have a choice of material.
