Weekend Round-Up – Week 35

Hard conditions

It was the weekend where the world cup mountainbike season came to an end, but at the same time a new season started at Eurobike. While the new products for 2017 were shown in Friedrichshafen, it was time for the CST Superior team to shine in Vallnord, Andorra.

Yana Belomoina, Sebastian Fini and Grant Ferguson were ready to race the final round of the world cup series. The course in Vallnord was challenging, with long climbs at an altitude of 1900m. Hard conditions to be in, let alone bike in. To adapt to the altitude, Yana went to Andorra straight after Brazil. Proved to be the right choice, as she raced her best race of the year, finishing 7th.

Best team

Roompot Oranje Peloton had a successful weekend in Norway during the Tour des Fjords. A strong performance led to the first team classification win!

Team FDJ was present at two races in France and Belgium: the Brussels Classic and the Vuelta.  And not without success, because we’ve got a leader in the mountain classification! Kenny Elissonde finished second on Saturday and fourth on Sunday in the Vuelta. Arnaud Démare finished second in the other race, the Brussels Classic, behind Tom Boonen.

And last, but not least. This is what our Eurobike booth looked like this weekend. The next chance to see our new collection is at Bike Motion BeNeLux on the 21st – 24th of October. See you there!
